Aptus Challenge
Description of Partner Institution: Aptus is an organization specializing in educational empowerment.
We work on improving the quality of education in Chile’s schools, focusing our actions on the schools as agents of systemic change.
To achieve our goal, we work to share best practices in school education with teams of school administrators while also offering training and tools to boost the quality of school education.
Challenge: Today, the amount of information available is practically limitless and sometimes it is difficult to find what we need and what is most important. That is why Aptus’ Studies Department has taken on the task of systematizing and disseminating evidence in simple and easy-to-read formats to make it easier for school administrators and teachers, members of school boards and faculties (target audience) to access to relevant information that will help them do a better job.
The challenge consists of increasing the consumption of information among teachers working with Aptus.
This calls for developing an information delivery model that is efficient in achieving a high rate of reading and consumption of the information delivered.
Expected deliverables: The expected outcome is a manual explaining the model, along with a prototype for teachers and administrators that incorporates the model, including examples, sample formats and demos for newsletters, infographics, videos, etc.
Premio: $1,000,000 per project to develop a prototype solution.
Benefits
- 1,000,000 per project to develop the prototype solution. No more than $200,000 of this amount may be used for paying team member fees, which will be paid once the final report is approved. The remainder of the funding is earmarked for operational and mobilization expenses.
- The workspace at EduLab has an observation room for testing prototypes and a co-work area. The availability of this space will depend on the health situation in the country.
